The Mastick Senior Center Advisory Board sponsors fundraising activities which assist in the maintenance and operation of the Center. Fundraising activities are a lot of fun, a great place to volunteer your time and make new friends while supporting the Mastick Senior Center!

Play Saturday Bingo! Support Mastick by joining us for a fun-filled afternoon of fundraising bingo every Saturday!

Prices:
Regular Games (Hard Cards or Paper)
$5 per Pack or 6 Cards (For 1st & 2nd Pack)
$4 per Additional Pack or 6 Cards (For 3rd & Each Additional Pack)
$3 per Half-Pack or 3 Cards
Pull-Tabs 25¢ & 50¢
Special Games $1 each
Regular Pots Pay to $100 each - Special Pots Vary

Bingo is offered on Saturdays from 11:30 am until 2:45 pm and is held in the Social Hall. Bingo serves as Mastick's primary fundraiser. The Social Hall doors opens at 9:30 am, with the first game begins at 11:30 am.
Participants must be 18 yrs of age or older.

This program ensures an afternoon of fun, socialization, and a chance to win cash or prizes.

Bargains Galore! Looking for Bargains Galore?
The Mastick Thrift Shop is open to the public on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm, and offers affordable shopping opportunity!

We gladly accept donations that are that are clean & in good condition. If you should find the Thrift Shop closed when you want to drop off donations, please bring them to the Mastick office. Thanks!

The income generate helps fund programs and facility maintenance.

Annual Thrift Shop Luncheon & Fashion Show
Traditionally held during the month of May, the Thrift Shop Committee offers its annual luncheon & fashion show. This well-received event provides lunch and entertainment for approximately 210 attendees.Volunteers model the fashions, which are provided by the Thrift Shop. Proceeds support Mastick programs.

Our wonderful volunteers contribute their time & talent to making Mastick fantastic!

The Mastick Thrift Shop does not accept the following items:

  • Infant & Toddler Clothing
  • Bed Pillows
  • Electronics *
  • Baby Car Seats & Strollers
  • Large Appliances
  • Automotive Items (E.g. Tire Chains or Batteries)

* Due to the change in California law (SB20 & SB50), we are not accepting the following electronic items:

  Computers, Monitors, Printers, Scanners, Stereo Equipment & Televisions (Please Contact Universal Waste Management 888.832.9839)

Mastick Senior Center Supporters
Many members elect to make monetary donations or to leave charitable gifts for the Center. Donors are recognized each month in our newsletter, the Mastick Bee Newsletter.

2% Utility User's Tax Exemption
Alameda residents 62 years of age, or low income, are eligible for a 2% exemption on the Utility User's Tax (UUT) on the following services: electrical, gas, and cable.Residents have the option of directly benefiting from the 2% reduction, or designating the cost savings as a restricted gift to be used only for funding Mastick Senior Center programs. UUT Exemption forms are available in Mastick's office. In 2015 $2,281.68 was generated for Mastick programs as a result of residents designating their cost savings to us!

Memorial Board
The Memorial Board located in the Mastick Social Hall honors the memory of those dear to our heart. A beautiful bronze plaque bearing the name of the deceased love one can be added to the Memorial Board with a donation of $100.
